Verdant + a clean coil

If airflow is gone, no amount of fan control will help.

Verdant (and every BMS) is built to cut runtime and save energy. That only works if the coil can move air. A packed coil means the fan runs, the setpoint looks right on the screen, and the room is still hot. You paid for controls. The coil stole the savings.

Clean the coil. Then the control can do its job. Foam on. Unit on.

What the control can’t fix

  • Fan speed, setpoints, occupancy — all of that assumes the coil is open.
  • Biofilm on the coil = no airflow. The VFD can spin. The room still misses.
  • Energy graphs look like “we need more control.” You need an open coil.

What we do so Verdant can work

  • Foam on the coil. Unit stays on. No shutdown window.
  • Airflow back. The control finally moves air, not just a number on the screen.
  • Then the kWh graph is allowed to move. 15–30% energy waste drop is the range from the old page — tell me if we keep it.

Don’t buy more control on a dirty coil. Book the assessment. Look at 1–2 units.
